INDIANAPOLIS — One of the main entries into the city from the south side is expected to close next Monday for seven months.
Citizens Energy Group will close Madison Avenue from McCarty to South Streets for the DigIndy sewer project.
The closure is expected to last from July 29 to February 29. Local access will remain open.
The DigIndy tunnel system is a 28-mile network of underground tunnels that will be complete by 2025.
The goal is to nearly eliminate sewer overflows into waterways in Marion County.
