ANDERSON, Ind. -- An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with crashing into an Anderson gun store and stealing multiple firearms.

Surveillance video captured two suspects inside Crack Shot Guns in the 700 block of E. 53rd Street Sunday evening.

Police arrested Javonte Johnson Tuesday afternoon. He's charged with burglary, possession of a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property.

According to police, Johnson and at least one other suspect drove a vehicle into the building to create a hole in the wall they could enter through.

Johnson says he's innocent, but whoever committed the crime did it the "smart" way.

"I wasn't the one who did it, but whoever did do it  - I ain't going to lie that's the smartest way," said Johnson. "There are no alarms until you broke the glass. They don't got alarms through the walls"

Police say surveillance video showed the two men inside the store and leaving through the same opening with "a number of weapons." The two left in a second vehicle.

Police are still looking for at least one other suspect in connection with the crime.

If you have any information about the suspects or crime contact the Anderson Police Department at 765-648-6775 or Crime Stoppers at 765-649-8310.
