ANDERSON, Ind. -- A 28-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a pickup truck while walking along a Madison County road.
Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff's Department were called to the scene near the area of Alexandria Pike and 300 N just before 8:30 p.m.
Deputies say a 59-year-old man was driving a black Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on Alexandria Pike when he hit a woman who was walking south in the southbound lanes.
The woman, identified as Amy Dawn Robertson, was taken to Community Hospital where she later died.
At this time no charges have been filed.
The accident remains under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
