INDIANAPOLIS — Jurors have convicted the suspect in the 2017 murder of an Indianapolis woman.

The Marion County Prosecutor announced the verdict in the Stefanie Coulson murder case.

The 37-year-old victim was shot and stabbed to death at her Pleasant Run Parkway home on the city's east side.

Karl Woodall, also 37, was convicted following a three day jury trial and will be sentenced April 10.

Coulson was found dead in her bedroom.

She had been shot multiple times and stabbed more than 30 times, according to the prosecutor.

Witnesses told police Coulson and Woodall had argued over the use of his van, and then he shot her.

Woodall was arrested three days later.

He is also charged in the murder of James Sapp, an Indianapolis man who was found dead on the city's east side a few weeks before the Coulson murder.

That case has not gone to trial.
