TIPPECANOE COUNTY — A 29-year-old man died Saturday after a single-car crash in Tippecanoe County.

Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office deputies and emergency personnel were called around 5:50 a.m. to the crash near Newcastle and Wyandotte roads, southeast of Lafayette, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.

Investigators say Joseph Henderson, of Jefferson, turned right onto Newcastle Road then lost control of the car and caused it roll over, according to the release. He was partially ejected from the car.

Henderson was eventually taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis by a medical helicopter, according to the release. He later died.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the release. Investigators do not believe drugs and alcohol are factors in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation by the sheriff's office Crash Reconstruction Team.
