INDIANAPOLIS -- Two more Marsh stores will be closing in Indianapolis by the beginning of April.

The store at Madison Avenue on the south side of the city will be closing on March 25 at 5 p.m. and the store in the Nora Corners Shopping Center off of East 86th Street will close on April 8 at 5 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the company.

The Nora Center closure will mark the fourth Marsh closing in Indianapolis since the beginning of the year.

The Marsh spokesperson said they are both stores because of weak performance.

The Marsh on 53rd Street closed on January 28, and the store on West 10th Street at Girls School Road closed on February 25.

The company is also closing stores in Richmond and Peru in the next month.

Marsh is an Indiana staple. The company opened their first location in Muncie in 1931, and their headquarters are in Indianapolis.

The chain has around 70 Marsh Supermarkets and O'Malia Food Markets in Indiana and Ohio.
