INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis east side preschool wants to guide their young students down the right path at an early age by introducing them to male leaders in the community.
Mini-Men Pre-K Leadership Academy, an organization whose mission is to connect pre-school aged boys with men of color from their area, holds a weekly session called Back in My Day.
Fred Oakley, a retired teacher, principal, professor and Army veteran, talked to the students about his time in the military.
“Believe it or not, they'll remember it... not all of it. But if they just remember one thing, that's good,” said Oakley.
