Montgomery County lineman killed in crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. — A lineman from Montgomery County, Indiana was killed in a crash Tuesday night. 

Josh Chieppo, a lineman with Tipmont REMC, was involved in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday while returning from an outage restoration call. He was on his way back to the Linden, Indiana office when the crash happened, according to Tipmont REMC.

Chieppo had worked for Tipmont REMC since 2010. Another employee was injured in the crash and is recovering in a local hospital.

"Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies are with Josh's family," Tipmont REMC wrote in a Facebook post. "We also ask that you pray for our Tipmont family, especially our linemen, as we all cope with this tragic loss."
