MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- Martinsville schools are warning parents after inappropriate advances were made towards two middle school girls who got into a stranger's vehicle Wednesday morning.
According to Martinsville Schools Superintendent Michelle Moore, two Bell Intermediate students were approached by an older white man in a silver SUV on their way to school.
Police say the two young girls got into the vehicle and inappropriate comments were made.
The girls made it to the school safely and police were called.
Martinsville police say they have "good, strong leads" in the case but have not made any arrests. Soon after viewing video, police said they are confident the vehicle was a silver SUV. The driver was described as an older male with a slender build.
Extra patrols will be out before, during and after school hours until an arrest is made.
The incident remains under investigation by the Martinsville Police Department.
