Motorcyclist dies in crash at busy Brownsburg intersection

BROWNSBURG — A motorcyclist died Tuesday evening following a collision with an SUV at a busy intersection in Brownsburg.

The Brownsburg Fire Department reported in a release that it was dispatched to the intersection of Northfield Drive and North Green Street at 7:05 p.m. on a report of a crash involving a motorcycle. Additional EMTs were called to the scene when more information about the motorcyclist's condition became available.

Firefighters found bystanders performing CPR on the motorcyclist, identified as 23-year-old Jonathan Loveland of Brownsburg, when they arrived, but he died from his injuries.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was interviewed by Brownsburg police officers. The Brownsburg Police Department is investigating the crash.

The crash closed the intersection for nearly two hours.
