Editor's note: This story originally was posted in July of 2015, but the list still holds up!

Sunday is National Tequila Day -- no, we aren't making that up!

Check out some of the best places around Indianapolis to celebrate the day:

Barrio Taco & Tequila Bar

If tequila is in the name -- it's gotta be good, right? The restaurant features food inspired by Mexican and Latin street fare, cocktails and, of course, tequila.

The festive restaurant even features a separate tequila menu from its drink menu.

You can really expand your tequila palette by ordering a tequila flight. Share it or drink it all yourself -- no judgments here!

The restaurant is located at 3855 E. 96th St.

Sangrita

The newly opened Sangrita Saloon is quickly becoming one of Broad Ripple's go-to hot spots.

Enjoy a taco dinner and tequila-based cocktails at the "craft agave spirits bar." The restaurant says it features over 100 varieties of 100 percent agave tequila, mezcal, sotol & bacanora in addition to other spirits.

Heads up: The saloon does not accept reservations, not even for National Tequila Day.

The restaurant is located at 834 E. 64th St.

Delicia

Delicia is one of SoBro's trendiest spots and many stop in just to enjoy a margarita.

The food is described as a mix of cuisine from the Americas, Caribbean and Spain to create a "New Latin Cuisine." The drink menu features creative concoctions like Fire 'N' Ice (think jalapeno-infused tequila with hibiscus), but their classic margarita is one even the non-tequila lover will enjoy.

Bonus: Delicia is currently participating in Chow Down Midtown -- so there's no better time to try it out if it's been on your list!

Visit Delicia at 5215 N. College Ave.

Bakersfield

You can't go wrong with Bakersfield on Mass Ave. The trendy spot serves Mexican street fare and features a selection of more than 100 tequilas and American whiskeys.

But because we are talking about National Tequila Day, lets focus on the tequila. If shots of tequila aren't quite your thing, stick to The Bakersfield Margarita served in a mason jar -- you won't regret it.

Bakersfield is located at 334 Mass Ave.

La Margarita

The Fountain Square tequila bar describes itself as an "agave spirit sanctuary." What more do you need to know?

This is definitely the place to go to expand your tequila horizons -- they have it all and you can sample what they have to offer with one of their agave flights.

Visit La Margarita at 1043 Virginia Ave.
