INDIANAPOLIS — Nearly 100 men and women from around the globe became citizens of the United States at a ceremony Monday at the Indiana State Museum.

Ninety-eight people took the Oath of Allegience and officially became U.S. citizens, one of the biggest moments of their lives.

"Today is a big day. Today is the United States," Seydou Kone said. "I'll become a citizen today. It's a big day for me. I want to vote. I want to work. Help people who need help."

The 98 new citizens come from 34 different countries. Judge Mark J. Dinsmore presided over the ceremony.
