RTV6 teamed up with students at Zionsville Community High School as part of a National News Literacy campaign through our parent company, Scripps Media.
We worked with Anna Murphy, Riya Patel, Ethan Moore and Logan Seiler. They decided to look into the Rail Trail. The students wanted to know why the project had been in limbo, the pending costs and its overall impact on their hometown. They also identified who they believed needed to be held accountable and who in their community needed to be heard on the issue.
The students came up with the questions, conducted interviews and assisted with the camera work to craft a story they believe needed to be told.
