NOBLESVILLE—A Noblesville woman is going to prison for 45 years after pleading guilty to the 2018 stabbing death of her boyfriend.

47-year-old Ladonna Roudebush was sentenced in Hamilton County Superior Court.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 46-year-old James Blair was stabbed once in the back and four times in one arm at Roudebush's Noblesville apartment last November.

The two had been dating, but Roudebush became upset when she learned Blair was married.

When police arrived at the apartment complex, they found Blair gravely wounded,

He died a short time later at Riverview Hospital.

According to the probable cause, evidence technicians found a knife in Roudebush's purse which had been placed in the refrigerator.

They also found 12 empty beer bottles in the apartment.

Roudebush told police she drank 10 beers prior to the stabbing.

She initially told investigators she did not recall stabbing Blair, but evidence pointed to Roudebush as the killer.

Earlier in May, she agreed to plead guilty to the murder charge.
