CARMEL — A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Carmel Thursday morning.
Carmel Police Department PIO Lt. James Semester said officers were called to City Center Drive between Guilford Road and Adams Street around 8 a.m. where they found Thomas McAllister, 81, Carmel, who had been struck by a truck.
Semester said McAllister was pronounced dead at the scene.
Carmel police said McAllister was crossing City Center Drive near Timber Creek Drive when he was hit by the truck driven by Coty Coffman, 24, Indianapolis. The investigation found that glare from the sun may have been a factor in the crash.
