PLAINFIELD — The town's first ever bikeshare program is now up and rolling.

The 'Be Well' bikeshare program is a joint effort between Hendricks Regional Health and the town.

With nearly 30 miles of trails in Plainfield, the program is providing 15 bikes and three docking stations to take advantage of.

Leaders say this is all about daily choices in your life to keep you on track.

"Healthcare today is about wellness; healthcare today is about keeping people out of the hospital and healthy and active and out in their community, and what better way to do that than this tremendous opportunity with the bike share," Kevin Speer, Hendricks Regional Health President and CEO, said.

Th bikeshare stations can be found at the Richard A. Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center, Hummel Park, and Friendship Gardens.

Riders can rent a bike for free for the first 30 minutes, then will be charged $1 for each additional half hour.
