Bicyclist killed after being struck, pinned under truck in rural Putnam County

CLOVERDALE, Ind. -- A man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Cloverdale Tuesday afternoon. 

Indiana Conservation Officers were called to the crash just before 2 p.m. on State Road 243 near the intersection of State Road 1175 South. 

Conservation officers say the bicyclist, Michael Gilham, 55, was struck by an oncoming truck and pinned beneath it. Gilham was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The 69-year-old woman driving the truck has not been charged at this time. 

The accident remains under investigation by Indiana Conservation Officers and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning in Terre Haute.
