GREENCASTLE, Ind. -- A Putnam County, Indiana school is closed Tuesday due to concerns with the air quality inside the building.

According to a message on its website, Tzouanakis Intermediate School is closed Tuesday.

Students in third, fourth, and fifth grade should not report to school.

The school's full statement is below:

TZ is CLOSED Tuesday, August 28, 2018

We have made the decision to close TZ tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug. 28) due to air quality concerns.  Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade will not report to school.  If this presents a child care issue that cannot resolved any other way, then we will be providing child care at the McAnally Center located next to Greencastle High School.  Please plan to drop them on the east side of the building closest to the gym after 8 AM and be prepared to pick them up after the bus transfer lot is bus free at or after 3:30 PM.  TZ students may ride their normal bus, if you have no ride options.

We will provide information for Wednesday into the future tomorrow via this same messaging system.
