PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. -- Students from the University of Indianapolis helped police find the skeletal remains of a person Sunday in rural Putnam County, Indiana.
After skeletal human remains were found last week near Van Bibber Lake, police investigators returned to the scene with a college professor and some students.
Dr. Krista Latham, of the University of Indianapolis Biology and Anthropology Department, went to the area with four biology students to find any more remains. More remains were found by the students and professor.

Over the next few weeks, all the remains will be collected as officials try to learn more about the victim.
Detectives have not discussed the age or sex of the person. But detectives are investigating the possibility the discovery may be related to a person who was reported missing on November 15, 2016.
Investigators also believe there is no danger to the public.
