WINCHESTER, Ind. – Officers are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing vehicle from a home where police say they found a body.

Winchester Police Department officers responded to a residence in the city Saturday on a welfare check and located a deceased person when they arrived.

Indiana State Police say they are looking for a red 2006 Ford Mustang GT with Indiana license plates “RSP657,” with black stripes on the hood, chrome wheels and pins on the front of the hood and a black “scoop” in the middle of the hood.

The identity of the victim found at the residence has not been released. The cause of death will be released once an autopsy is conducted.

Indiana State Police troopers and detectives are assisting Winchester police with the investigation.

Anyone with information on the incident or the location of the vehicle is asked to call the ISP Pendleton District at 765-778-2121 or 911.
