INDIANAPOLIS—Teachers in Lawrence Township will see a 3% pay hike after the school board approved a new contract at Monday's meeting.
The contract, which has already been ratified by teachers, covers the current school year.
According to figures provided by the administration, the salary for beginning teachers will be $43,000.
There will be no increase in insurance premiums and the district's 401 (a) retirement plan will see a .5% increase in the contribution match.
