INDIANAPOLIS -- A school on the city's northeast side held a special event to get students fired up for the next round of the ISTEP in Indiana.

The staff at Tindley Collegiate Academy put an invitation on Facebook asking women from the community to come to a special ISTEP pep rally at the middle school.

They had a huge response. More than 100 moms, working women and leaders from the community came out to show their support.

"They are excited about our young ladies and they are helping us as we transform them into young ladies of excellence," Interim Principal Tyneasha Banks said.

The pep rally was a way to inspire the girls and let them know women around the community believe in them as they get ready for next week's tests.
