INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indiana restaurant staple will be getting a new location -- and a tweak on its name.
Scotty’s Brewhouse, a bar and grill restaurant with 13 Indiana locations, is expanding to Butler University. Scotty’s Dawghouse -- a play of the Butler Bulldog -- will open in Butler’s new parking garage in February 2016.
The restaurant will be placed at the corner of Sunset Avenue and Lake Road.
Scotty’s Dawghouse will employ 75-100 people, with both part- and full-time positions available in January.
Scotty’s will seat 250-300 between its dining room and patio. The restaurant will be open every day, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to bring one of Indiana’s most successful and popular restaurant concepts to Butler,” Michael Kaltenmark, Butler’s director of external relations, said in a statement. “We listened to our students, employees, alumni, and Midtown neighbors and believe Scotty’s will be a great fit for the Butler community.”
University officials expect that Scotty’s will be open late following major arts and athletics events.
The parking garage is expected to open in August, with other potential tenants also moving in next year.
