Services set for Indiana State Police trooper killed in crash while responding to help other trooper

HOWARD COUNTY — Services have been set for an Indiana State Police trooper killed in a crash Friday.

Trooper Peter Stephan, 27, of Lafayette, was killed Friday night while going to help another trooper in Tippecanoe County.

He is survived by his wife and five-month-old daughter.

A public visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at Crossroads Community Church, 4254 S 00 EW, Kokomo, IN, 46902.

A public funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

After the funeral, the procession will leave the church, head north on State Road 931, west on State Road 26, and north on County Road 775 West to the Russiaville Cemetery.

ISP is encouraging the public to line the procession route to support Stephan and his family.

Other motorists are asked to avoid the route during the procession.
