SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. -- An 11-year-old was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Shelby County Friday morning.
Deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department were called to the scene at CR 600 S and Washington Road at approximately 9:30 a.m.
Investigation shows that a man was driving a GMC Sierra truck westbound when he went off the north side of the road and into the ditch line, striking a utility pole.
The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and removed his 11-year-old son, Addison Duclos, before running for help to call 911.
Addison was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.
