Silver Alert canceled for 76-year-old man missing from Lafayette

The Silver Alert for Louis Rae Murdoch was canceled early Sunday morning after he was safely located, according to Lafayette police dispatch.

PREVIOUS:

LAFAYETTE — A statewide Silver Alert was declared Saturday night for a 76-year-old man missing from Lafayette.

Lafayette Police Department officers are looking for Louis Rae Murdoch, described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, 220 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes, according to the alert.

He was last seen around 12:01 p.m. Saturday wearing a red Trump baseball hat, a white or black shirt, and khaki shorts, according to the alert. He may be driving a black 2016 Hyundai Tuscon with Indiana license plate XHG328. There is an American flag decal on the back passenger side window.

He is believed to be in extreme danger and may need medical attention, according to the alert.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Lafayette police at 765-807-1200.
