UPDATE: Lawrence police say the missing boy has been found and is safe.

LAWRENCE — Police in Lawrence are asking for the public's help to find a missing 9-year-old boy.
Kamonnie Bennett was last seen on Monday, February 24 around 4:30 p.m. in the 9100 block of E. 56th Street.
Kamonnie is described as being 4 feet 2 inches tall and 70 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, light blue jeans and tennis shoes.
Kamonnie is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
Police say Kamonnie is not originally from Lawrence and had recently moved here from the Bloomington area.
