INDIANAPOLIS—For the second time this year, a 34-year-old Indianapolis man is on trial for a pair of murders in 2017.
Maurice Turentine's first trial in February ended in a mistrial, after jurors began their deliberations.
At the time of the killings at a home on the city's southeast side, police said the murders appeared to be drug-related.
The victims, 30-year-old Darrel Miller and 31-year-old James Clark, were found shot to death at a home on Villa Avenue.
A four-year-old child was present at the time of the murders but was not harmed.
A second suspect, Mingo Thames, was convicted by a Marion County jury last year and was sentenced to 110-years in prison.
