INDIANAPOLIS — An event at "El Taco Loco" in Indianapolis on Friday seeks to boost census participation on the city's west side.

"Taco Bout Census 2020" is an effort by the US Census and community partners to boost census participation in this part of Indianapolis' westside where self-response is as low as 34 to 42.8%, compared to a 61% response rate county-wide.

As an incentive, free tacos will be given out to anyone who completes the census on site. There will be IPads and translators and a representative from the U.S.Census, as well as community organizers from La Plaza, Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance, Count Me Indy.
