INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever has a new president and a familiar name is also moving up in the organization.

Dr. Allison Barber was announced Monday as the team's president and chief executive officer.

She is currently president of Western Governors University Advancement and chancellor of WGU Indiana.

At the same time, Tamika Catchings has become Vice President of Fever Basketball Operations.

Catchings spent 16 years as the team's star player and was a four-time Olympic gold medalist.

More recently, Catchings was Director of Player Programs and Franchise Development with Pacers Sports and Entertainment.

As head of operations, she will be responsible for the coordination of day-to-day basketball operations.

Dr. Barber replaces Kelly Krauskopf who is now assistant general manager of the Pacers.

At Western Governors University, Barber was in charge of the school's non-profit fundraising arm and its Indiana operation.
