These IPS schools will be serving free lunch for students on 'Red for Ed' day

INDIANAPOLIS — Although thousands of students will be out of school on Tuesday as teachers gather at the statehouse for "Red for Ed," some of them count on the meal they eat at school as the only source of food they have during the day.

To that end, Indianapolis Public Schools is offering free lunch for students from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19 at the following locations.

  • Arlington Woods School 99
  • Brookside School 54
  • Carl Wilde School 79
  • Center for Inquiry SChool 27
  • Charles W. Fairbanks School 105
  • Christian Park School 82
  • Daniel Webster School 46
  • Eleanor Skillen School 34
  • George S. Buck School 94
  • James Whitcomb Riley School 43

Child care programs will also be runing at Center for Inquiry School 27 and Center for Inquiry School 70 for "At Your School" families that register, similar to other Professional Development (PD) days and holidays that are scheduled, the district says.
