INDIANAPOLIS -- Those with a competitive spirit will get a chance to exercise their muscles this weekend (literally).

A little over $10,000 is on the line during some of the city's weekend events that feature biking and basketball.

Here are the top six things to do in Indy this weekend:

IndyPopCon

Indiana Convention Center – 100 S. Capitol Avenue

Friday – Sunday varying times

IndyPopCon brings together TV, movie, game, cosplay and comic fans under one roof to celebrate pop culture. Special guests will include Matt Ryan, Troy baker and Robert Carradine.

Indy Hoop Festival

Lucas Oil Stadium – 500 South Capital Avenue

Saturday – Sunday varying times

Show of your skills on the basketball court this weekend as players of all ages play in a community 3-on-3 tournament. The festival winner will take home a $2,500 prize.

Indy Criterium Bicycle Festival

Monument Circle

Saturday at 10 a.m.

Strap on your helmet and get ready for one of Indy’s largest competitive bike rides around Monument Circle and through the streets of downtown. The cash prize winner will take home $8,000.

N.I.T.E. Ride

Indianapolis City Market – 222 E. Market Street

Saturday at 11 p.m.

If competitive biking isn’t your style, the N.I.T.E. ride will fit your taste. It’s a leisure 20-mile tour of Indy with more than 3,000 participants. Bikers will pass by Crown Hill Cemetery, Butler University, IUPUI and other places.

Indiana Black Expo

Indiana Convention Center – 100 S. Capital Avenue

July 6-16

Thousand of people will visit downtown Indy to enjoy musical performances, jobs fairs, business seminars, concerts and more at Indiana Black Expo. Other events will include a fashion show, slam dunk contest, celebrity basketball game and more.

Sharkfest Swim Indy

Downtown Indy Canal Walk

Sunday at 9 a.m.

You’ve probably walked down or even paddle boated down the Indy canal, but now you can take a swim. Participants can choose from the 1500-meter swim or the 501-meter swim during this competitive event.
