INDIANAPOLIS — Two patients at Riley Hospital for Children are going home after receiving their new hearts.
Nurses helped the children, one nicknamed Teddy, and Aidyn Isley, celebrate their departures on back-to-back days.
Teddy, 8, of Indianapolis spent almost a year on the transplant list. He said he is excited to play with his cats and eat his favorite foods at home again.
Isley, 4, of Silver Lake, spent almost two months at Riley Hospital for Children and was on the transplant list for about two weeks before he received his new heart.
The hospital shared a video of the farewell celebrations in a video on Facebook.
