INDIANAPOLIS -- A video apparently showing two Pike High School students having sex in a hallway at school is making the rounds on social media.
The video has been shared more than 3,500 times since it was posted.
Sarah Dorsey, the communication officer of MSD of Pike Township, released a statement on behalf of the school.
The statement read:
We are aware of the video that was posted on social media which appears to depict two students engaged in inappropriate behavior. The situation has been dealt with and discussed with the students involved and their parents.
The school hasn't said what -- if any -- punishment will come to the students.
Due to the graphic nature of the video and the ages of those involved, we will not be showing it.
The Marion County Prosecutor's Office announced June 9 that the students involved in the case would be charged as juveniles:
"Information on these juveniles was presented to our office, and the matters are being handled as juvenile delinquency cases in juvenile court. I cannot disclose information regarding those juveniles who would be facing prosecution in juvenile court for committing acts that would be misdemeanors if committed by an adult without a court order. We strongly caution any child from photographing, video recording or sharing photographs or recordings of any sexual conduct involving a minor as such behavior could result in the filing of juvenile delinquency case against the child and the child’s detention in a juvenile detention facility."
The specific charges weren't released.
