BLOG: Protests continue for fourth day in Indianapolis day Monday

INDIANAPOLIS — Protests continued in Indianapolis Monday for the fourth straight day.

The demonstrations began at Monument Circle Monday evening.

9:39 p.m.
IMPD reports that Howe High School has been vandalized by 5 to 8 individuals. No suspects on scene. School police are being contacted.

9:15 p.m.
IMPD officers are walking with the group escorting them back to the downtown area where most of their cars are parked.

9:07 p.m.
ISP troopers and IMPD officers are marching arm-in-arm with protesters.

9:05 p.m.
Indiana State Police troopers and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers took off their face shields and helmets and exchanged hugs and fist bumps with protesters near the Governor's Residence.

8:45 p.m.

With a curfew now in effect, our officers will provide traffic control to allow for the safe return to your cars so you can head home.

8:36 p.m.
Police are telling protesters they have 5 minutes to disperse.

8:03 p.m.
According to a report from IMPD, there are reports of vandalism near 34th Street and Pennsylvania St.

7:41 p.m.

As of 7:41 p.m., protesters had left the downtown area and were marching north on the streets of Indianapolis. The group is marching to continue the protest at the governor's residence north of downtown.
