Woman killed in Hamilton County hit-and-run

HAMILTON COUNTY — Authorities are looking for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash in Hamilton County that left a woman dead.

According to a public information officer for the Hamilton County Sheriff, a woman who was walking along Anthony Road was struck and killed at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. She died at the scene.

The location is near U.S. 31 and East 236th Street in a rural area of northern Hamilton County.

The sheriff's office is trying to locate a silver/gray 1997-2003 Ford F-150 with tinted rear window. There may be damage to the driver's front coroner of the truck. The suspect left the scene, heading northbound.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team is handling this investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to call Sgt. Brian Niec at 317-773-1282.

The victim's identity has not been released.
