A hotel under construction in New Orleans collapsed Saturday, sending construction workers running from the site. At least one person has been killed, according to Scripps station KATC in Lafayette, Louisiana.
The Associated Press reports that the upper floors of the Hard Rock Hotel, which was scheduled to open in spring 2020, caved in Saturday morning.
Viewer video tweeted by WWL-TV in New Orleans shows the structure falling into a street.
The New Orleans Fire Department tweeted several photos from the scene.
