INDIANAPOLIS – As the battle over health care continues, protesters in Indy want to grab the attention of Sen. Todd Young in hopes that he will reject the GOP’s plans.

Wednesday’s protesters from IndyCAN said they are concerned the GOP health care bill will provide tax breaks for the wealthy, insurance companies and drug manufacturers while sending millions of people into poverty.

“We hope instead of going forward with partisan solution, they fix some of the problems with Obamacare,” said protester Alex Penn.

Following the release of the bill earlier this month, Young said the Affordable Care Act has failed Hoosiers with increased prices and lack of insurers in the marketplace.

Senators are not expected to vote on the bill until after the Fourth of July.
