INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jennifer McCormick, spoke to an excited crowd of teachers and public education advocates at the Indiana Statehouse Tuesday.
The rally was hosted by the Indiana Coalition for Public Education.
As time begins to run out in this year's legislative session, advocates made another push for increased school funding and teacher pay.
"You need to push," McCormick said. "And you need to ask. Do not assume. You need to ask them, 'Which educator did you talk to about policy?'"
