FORT WAYNE — An AMBER Alert has been canceled for a 5-year-old girl last seen around 3 p.m. Saturday in Fort Wayne.
Leanna Nicole Herron, a 5-year-old girl, was safely and Zyair Jalinc Herron, a 26-year-old man, was taken into custody located in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne Public Information Officer Felton said.
Fort Wayne Police Department officers were looking for Leanna, a 5-year-old black girl, described as being 4 feet tall, weighing 69 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the AMBER Alert. She was last seen wearing a gray swim suit with white stripes and white Nike shoes.
Police believed Leanna was with Zyair, a 26-year-old black male, described as a being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to the AMBER Alert. He was last seen wearing a red and black swim suit, black boots, a gold grill over his teeth and "ZAMIRAH" tattooed on the left side of his neck.
Zyair was last seen driving an older silver Chevy Malibu with black rims and a temporary paper plate, according to the AMBER Alert.
