Silver Alert declared for 56-year-old missing Starke County man

STARKE COUNTY — A statewide Silver Alert has been declared for a missing Starke County man last seen Friday morning.

Starke County Sheriff's deputies are looking for James Runkle, 56, described as being 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, with a bald head and brown eyes, according to the Silver Alert.

He was last seen around 7 a.m. Friday morning in North Judson wearing a green T-shirt and camo pants, according to the alert. He was driving a 2004 black Chevy Silverado pickup truck with an orange kayak and Indiana license plate BLT662.

Runkle is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance, according to the alert.
