CHARLESTOWN, Ind. — A statewide Silver Alert for an 83-year-old man was canceled after he was safely located Saturday.

The Clark County Sheriff's Department said William Hicks, described as a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes, was last seen wearing a button up dress shirt with a white undershirt and blue jeans.

Hicks also has a tattoo of a naked mermaid on his right forearm.

Hicks was believed to be driving a red 1999 For Ranger pickup truck with Indiana license plate D167CE. There is a sticker on the rear window of the truck with the work "Huckelberry."

Hicks was believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
