UPDATE: The Silver Alert was canceled late Saturday after Robert Lemere returned home.
SOUTH BEND — A Silver Alert has been declared Saturday afternoon for a missing 87-year-old last seen Saturday morning in South Bend.
South Bend Police Department officers are searching for Robert Lemere, described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes, according to the Silver Alert. He was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning driving a white 2006 Buick LaSabre with Indiana license plate D701ER and green paint on the passenger side.
Lemere is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
