SILVER ALERT: Lake Station police search for missing man

LAKE STATION — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Lake Station man.

According to the alert bulletin, the Lake Station Police Department is investigating the disappearance of James Cori Lyles, 37.

Lyles is described as a black male, 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing 195 pounds, with balding brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black sweat pants. Lyles walks witha cane and is mute.

Police said Lyles is missing from Lake Station, 152 miles northwest of Indianapolis. He was last seen on Aug. 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

Anyone with information on Lyles' whereabouts is asked to call Lake Station police at 219-660-0027 or call 911.
