Two men wanted in connection with murder of man found dead by mushroom hunters in Miami County

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. -- Indiana State Police are looking for two men in connection with the murder of another man whose body was found by mushroom hunters in Miami County over the weekend. 

Police are looking for Ethan Cain, 21, and Joshua Kean, 23, in connection with the murder of Drake Allan Smith, 22.

Smith's body was discovered by two mushroom hunters in a wooded area on the Okie Pinokie Trail on Saturday just after 10 a.m. 

Wednesday, Indiana State Police announced they were searching for Cain and Kean in connection with Smith's murder. 


Cain is wanted for murder, obstruction of justice and theft. 

He's described as:

  • White Male
  • 5-foot-10 inches tall
  • 220 pounds
  • Brown Hair
  • Hazel Eyes

Kean is facing charges of assisting a criminal, obstruction of justice and theft. 
He is described as:

  • White male
  • 6-foot tall
  • 250 pounds
  • Blonde Hair
  • Blue Eyes

Both men should be considered armed and dangerous. 
If you see them do not approach them, call 911 or local law enforcement and report their location immediately.
