Teachers Credit Union offers relief measures for government employees impacted by shutdown

SOUTH BEND — Teachers Credit Union has announced a package of relief measures that will only be offered to federal employees affected by the government shutdown.

If you are a TCU member, and you, or your spouse, are employed by the federal government and experiencing a loss of income, you have the following options:

  • 90-day Member Assistance Loan

This will help members bridge the financial gap until federal pay resumes.

  • Loan Payment Deferment Assistance

Members can defer loan payments at no charge.

  • Delinquent Loan Collection Solutions

To help members who fall behind on loan payments during the shutdown.

  • Waiver of early withdrawal penalty on certificates

Allows members access to their funds.
TCU members who are impacted by the shutdown at this time, and would like to use these measures, are encouraged to visit a any TCU Service Center, or call their member call center: 800-552-4745.
