USPS passport services still available during shutdown

INDIANAPOLIS — The U.S. State Department is still processing passport applications despite the federal government shutdown, the U.S. Postal Service in Indiana announced Wednesday.

All passport facilities in Indiana will continue to provide services as normal; processing times remain at four to six weeks, expedited services at two to three weeks.

All applicants have to appear in person to apply for their passport.
