Working Together: Southport police delivering food to vulnerable seniors

SOUTHPORT — There are some people unable to leave their homes due to COVID19.

Seniors with health conditions are among them.

The Southport Police Department has become a distribution center for seniors in Perry Township in need of groceries, medicines and even pet food.

Throughout the day, officers take turns making deliveries.

Some recipients are among the most vulnerable to COVID19. Including one woman RTV6 spoke with who recently had open-heart surgery and can't leave her home,

A can-do attitude fuels this act of charity.
