INDIANAPOLIS — As restaurants in Marion County start to reopen with outdoor seating only, some are still trying to figure out how to reopen under these new circumstances.

Facility Concepts, a manufacturing company in Whitestown, is helping independent restaurants get the chairs and barstools they need.

The company has about 500 chairs it's giving away for free to help restaurants.

Company leaders say they wanted to use their extra inventory to help out the company and restaurants after hearing about the new guidelines.

"We realize how difficult it has been," Kim Regan, senior vice president of Facility Concepts, said. "For some of them if they are not successful in their reopening it could be the end of their business. If we can provide assistance with free chairs, barstools and furniture that could help them, we are simply doing it because it is the right thing to do."

The company is looking to help restaurants in Downtown Indianapolis and in other locations.
