INDIANAPOLIS — As Marion County moves forward to Stage Four of Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb's reopening plan, bars, clubs, and lounges can now start to reopen their doors to the public.

HI-FI, a Fountain Square music venue, announced Monday it would be hosting its first concert in three months on Saturday with several changes, including limited capacity.

The 21-and-over venue typically has as many as 400 people in its space at one time, but in adhering to the 50% percent capacity requirement by the state, it will only allow up to 200 patrons on Saturday.

To further the protection of its guests, employees, and acts, HI-FI requires that all concert attendees wear a mask. The venue has also installed new contactless self check out systems.

HI-FI is also implementing a new $1 fee on all tickets for the "Indiana Independent Venue Alliance." A not-for-profit organization that focuses on supporting more than 30 independent live music venues in Indiana.

“This is uncharted territory,” Josh Baker, the owner of HI-FI, said. “For the foreseeable future, watching a show will be a little different. The changes we’ve put in place, with the big picture in mind, are minor inconveniences to ensure the safety of all artists, customers, and employees. We're fighting for survival and our only hope is to be open, in some capacity. Rest assured, we’ll be doing it by the book or writing a new one as we go.”

Huckleberry Funk, a local funk, soul and R&B band, is headlining the concert on Saturday. Tickets to the 9 p.m. show are available online now for $10 and will go up to $12 the day of the concert.
